The best commissions come out of me when the patron allows me to interpret the feeling or message they want paninted. I can usually see in my head what the final product will look like after a first meeting.
I love when clients when they know my style, come to me for it, and let me interpret their thoughts visually.
I am always okay to do exactly what a client asks but I do believe working together creates deeper pieces. Half way through the piece I share where we are and you get one major change and two minor ones.
The price depends on the amount of detail and time spent which can vary from $200 for a simple lightly shaded sketch to $3,000 for a medium scale painting.
