KMAC STUDIOS

Through surrealist portraiture, Kelly MacDonald questions patriarchal social norms encouraging audiences to feel and celebrate their feminine energy.

She explores feminine archetypes in her mission to strengthen humanity with vulnerability.

 

Miss MacDonald studied painting and sculpting under Cliffton Peacock and Jarod Charzewski at The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, College of Charleston.

Upon graduating she privately expanded her graphite feminine portraiture portfolio. Moving to Athens, GA she collaborated with musicians on album and EP covers.

She then had an adventure year circa 2017 solo backpacking Europe and the UK describing everything in volumes of poetry.

Settling in London, she began working in ink on surrealist spiritual portraits and abstract paintings.

Returning to New York after Covid, she began KMAC Studios LLC.
Accepting private commissions while growing her own body of work, she strives to tell visual stories that inspires her audience to look inward and accept their shadows.

Currently, her mediums include; Graphite, Golden Acrylics, hand painted Procreate printed on stretched canvas, found object sculptures.
